About Rebel Sage Therapy
Many people have asked me why I picked the name I did for my practice.
The short answer - it is the embodiment of who I am and who I strive to be.

The long answer - when channeled constructively, the rebel within us teaches us to challenge prior assumptions, question everything, and fight for what we believe in. It allows us to embrace our differences and use them as strengths, unlocking confidence and empowerment. A sage is curious person who gathers information for the purpose of sharing it with others. Examining new ideas or concepts with curiosity before expressively communicating them. Life is a continuous cycle of learning and relearning for the sage.

With both the rebel and the sage interwoven, I strive to bring a refreshing and unique perspective to therapy, filled with ideas from all styles and teachings.
Diana Diaconu, LCSW
I have always been curious about why we all behave and think the way we do. This fascination led to pursuing a Bachelors degree in Psychology at Loyola University Chicago. After recognizing the need for more understanding of the therapeutic realm and the impacts of severe trauma, I obtained my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Denver with a specialization in clinical work and family systems. Throughout my career, I have been able to gain experience working with a wide variety of ages, walks of life, and challenges in various settings. I aim to create a safe and supportive environment for all my clients.

My approach is non-judgmental, honest, and strengths-based. My ultimate goal is to help clients figure out who they want to be, leaving them feeling empowered, confident, and safe. Often, we become a product of our circumstances, getting lost in survival, but life is too short to get stuck there and that's where I come in! Although I cannot do the work for you, offer a “magic solution,” or force changes to happen, I can support you each step of the way. I pull from a variety of evidence-based therapies depending on what is the best fit for the situation, experience, and client(s). If you are ready to begin getting unstuck and unlock a new chapter, reach out today!
Fun Facts
When I'm not working, I can be found adventuring in the desert, running, gardening, or enjoying time with my family and furry & scaley loves. If it’s below 70 degrees outside, I'm usually bundled up with some tea doing a puzzle with one of the kitties nearby (there's a reason I live in Arizona!!). I value incorporating creativity and humor into all aspects of my life, and sharing it with others.
